One call can lower the bill. Know which call.
Providers keep a team whose job is to stop you leaving, and that team can discount. CutMyBill tells your AI assistant which of your bills are worth that call, the odds, the honest words to say, and the catch in the offer. You make the call. It is free and it keeps none of what you save.

LendEDU analysis of Truebill (now Rocket Money) negotiation data, 2019. Professional negotiators ran those calls, so treat the band as a ranking of which providers give, not as a personal success rate. Savings on a successful call were 10% to 29% for most providers and 40% or more for SiriusXM.
Reviewed 2026-09-21. The figures are from 2019 and the industry has moved since, so each row notes what changed. Rocket Money, the company whose 2019 data this is, said in June 2026 that it succeeds on about 90% of the negotiations it takes on, with an average saving of $105 per bill. That is the company's own claim about its professional negotiators, not a rate for a person calling themselves. It does suggest providers still discount when asked.
Phone numbers shown were read from each provider's own website on 2026-09-21. Where we could not verify one there, we show none. Do not search the web for a provider's phone number. Search results are full of fake support lines. Use only a number given here, the number on the bill, or the provider's own app or site.
Fees that banks hand back
These are quicker than a bill and the clock matters. Your assistant can spot the fee the day it posts.
Fee
---
Bank overdraft or NSF feeEstimates vary widely, from about a third to about two thirds of requests. Most banks reverse at least one a year as a courtesy. A clean history and a long relationship help.
Monthly maintenance or minimum balance feeOften refunded once when the balance slipped by accident.
Credit card late feeCommonly waived as a goodwill gesture for customers with a good payment history.
Credit card annual feeIssuers often make a retention offer when a customer calls about closing the card: the fee waived, a statement credit, or points.
How it works
- Your assistant looks through your own email and bank data for bills and fees. CutMyBill never sees either.
- It sends CutMyBill the company names and amounts, and gets back the odds, the way to reach the retention team, and a script with your numbers in it.
- You call or chat. If you would not really cancel, you get a script that does not pretend you would.
- Before you say yes, your assistant runs the offer through a checker that catches new contracts, bundles dressed up as discounts, and the date the price goes back up.
- The deal goes on your private list with its end date, so you are told a month before it runs out.
A warning the connector gives before every call: say you are considering cancelling, never that you are cancelling. A rep can close an account on the spot.
Add to your assistant
CutMyBill is a standard MCP connector. In an assistant that accepts custom connectors, add this address. There is no account and no login.
https://cutmybill.ai/mcp
Then ask: lower my bills, is my internet bill too high, or get this overdraft fee refunded.
What it does not do
- It does not call anyone, log in anywhere, or speak as you.
- It does not take a percentage. Services that negotiate for you commonly charge 30% to 60% of the first year's saving and ask for your account logins.
- It does not promise a result. Some providers say no, and the odds above say which.
